Our Special Holiday Services are some of the sweetest moments in our church year, when worship, memory, and community all come together. Whether we are gathering for Christmas, Easter, or another meaningful occasion, we slow the pace, decorate the sanctuary with care, and shape each service around the story of Jesus and His saving work.
On Christmas, you might hear Scripture readings shared by different families, Christmas carols sung in English with a touch of Filipino warmth, and a simple message about God drawing near to us in Christ. On Easter, we rejoice in the empty tomb with songs of resurrection, testimonies of new life, and clear teaching on the hope we have beyond death. Other special days - such as Good Friday or church anniversaries - carry their own tone: quiet reflection when we remember the cross, or joyful gratitude when we look back on answered prayers. These services are especially welcoming for guests who may be visiting from out of town, returning to church after a season away, or curious about the deeper meaning of the holidays. Children and youth are included, not pushed to the side, and we often involve them through readings, music, or simple service roles. After worship, we usually share food and fellowship, often with Filipino dishes alongside familiar American favorites, giving people space to reconnect and meet new friends.
If holidays sometimes feel rushed or empty for you, we invite you to sit with us under the light of God's Word, sing the old stories again, and hear how they speak into today's struggles. Our Special Holiday Services are designed to help you refocus your heart on Christ, remember His faithfulness, and experience the warmth of a church family celebrating together.
