Vemerlyn Dumala Sagansay

Vemerlyn Dumala Sagansay serves as a Church Planter and Missionary alongside her husband, Pastor Ely, at First Filipino International Baptist Church in Russell, Kentucky. From the beginning of their move to Kentucky, she has stood faithfully beside him, helping nurture both a small congregation in Olive Hill and the growing Filipino and Asian community in Greenup County. Vemerlyn brings a caring, steady presence to the ministry, often working quietly in the background while also walking closely with women, children, and families who need encouragement and prayer.

In her role, Vemerlyn helps create a warm, welcoming church family where people can experience God's grace, share their burdens, and feel like they belong. She supports fellowship gatherings, prayer times, and outreach efforts that connect the church with its neighbors, and she has a heart for seeing people grow from first-time visitors into active disciples of Christ. Through simple acts of service, thoughtful words, and a life shaped by faith, she reflects the love of Christ and helps keep the missionary work of the church grounded in everyday kindness and genuine care.
