Our story as a church began with simple acts of Community Evangelism - praying in the back of an Asian grocery, visiting with elderly saints in a nearly empty sanctuary, and sharing the Gospel one conversation at a time. We have seen how God can use an ordinary visit, a shared meal, or a quiet prayer in a parking lot to change a life forever.
Today, our outreach flows in that same spirit. We organize times when small teams go into neighborhoods, parks, markets, and community events to offer friendly conversation, listening ears, and clear, gentle explanations of the hope we have in Christ. Sometimes we bring Filipino food or homemade desserts. Other times we offer Bibles, simple tracts, or invitations to upcoming worship gatherings and Bible studies. We train participants before we go, so no one feels pushed into something they are not ready for. We teach how to share your personal testimony in a few minutes, how to ask permission before praying with someone, and how to respect people's backgrounds while speaking truthfully about Jesus. Those who are not yet comfortable speaking often serve in quiet ways - setting up tables, serving food, or praying in the background as others engage.
Our aim is not to win arguments, but to love neighbors. We follow up with those who show interest, visit homes when invited, and welcome seekers into our New Believer Discipleship or Bible Study Classes if they decide to take the next step. Through these efforts, we have watched God heal relationships, restore prodigals, and bring new faces into our church family.
If you sense God nudging you to share your faith but feel unsure how, joining us in community outreach can help you grow in courage, learn from others, and experience the joy of watching God work right on the streets and in the shops of our town.
